Swim lessons: Ages 6 months & older. Parent/child, preschool, youth, teen and adult lessons are offered. Swim lessons are 30 minutes and run in seven week sessions. Sign up at the front desk (or online. (Fee based Program)

Water Fitness: Ages 13 years & older. Water fitness classes are offered at various levels. Morning, early afternoon and evening programs run throughout the year. Please check the schedule for days and times. Sign up at the front desk. (Fee based program)

Open Fitness: Utilizes the entire pool, and any equipment to perform any exercise. It is not a lap swim, but a time for anyone (any age) to come in and exercise at their leisure. This is NOT a lap or family swim.

Mommy & Me:  this is a relaxed, “family-swim-like” time for parents/guardians to have fun in the pool with their babies/toddlers/preschoolers.  Without the noise of larger children or the hustle and bustle of a crowded pool, families can focus more on having fun with their little ones while playing with floaties, toys or just enjoying the water itself.  This is also a great time for parents and babies to make new friends!

Teen Swim: this is a time for teens to unwind from the busy day at school, hang out with friends or make new friends!  This special “teen-only” time gives the kids a unique water experience in the pool, free from parents/guardians and younger siblings!

Swim Team: Ages 5- 18 years. The Swim Team is made up of swimmers from all over the North Quabbin region and outlying areas. All you need is to love to swim and be able to swim the length of the pool without flotation. Our team offers two leagues. 

  • Worcester County League: Starts late August with meets every weekend starting mid-September to the first weekend in November.
  • Amphibians Swim Team: Regular season mid-October to mid-April with practice up to 5 days a week.

Swimmers must be a YMCA member (can be a Y member at any Y) in good standing from registration through April 14th of the swim season. Fee for the season is broken down by the number of days that you practice.

Swimmers can try the team for two weeks to see if it is a fit for them and then they must pay the swim team fee.

Lap Swims: Ages 13 years & older. Lap swims are for all swimmers interested in improving their fitness levels through swimming. Three lanes are used for swimming laps. One lane is set aside for water exercise. During peak hours, there may be up to six people in a lane (circle swim). When choosing a lane, choose a lane with swimmers of the same ability. Please check the pool schedule for times and days as lap swim times are subject to change .

Family Swim: Family swims are for families. Parents must be present in the pool area with their children. Children without an adult present will be prohibited from swimming. If a child is unable to swim without a floatation device the adult must be in the water. For safe enjoyment, a parent child ratio of 1 to 4 is recommended. Please check the pool schedule for the days and times for family swims as they are subject to change throughout the year as the sessions change.

Pool Rentals:  The pool is available to be rented during the weekdays when not in use for YMCA activities.  We also have packages for birthday parties on the weekends. (1- hour swim 1-hour room rental) All swimmers will be required to take a swim test. Please see the front desk for cost and availability.

Attire:  No cut off jean shorts or baggy shirts , Hair long enough to tie back must be tied back or a swim cap must be worn. Showers must be taken before you enter the pool.
